RTA (Registrar & Transfer Agent) — Mutual Fund Term Explained
The back-office service provider handling all mutual fund investor transactions, records and statements. CAMS and KFintech are India's major RTAs.
RTAs process all mutual fund transactions on behalf of AMCs — purchases, redemptions, switches, SIP mandates, statement generation and IDCW payments. CAMS and KFintech handle most Indian mutual fund AUM.
You can view consolidated holdings on MFCentral portal or generate a Consolidated Account Statement (CAS) from NSDL/CDSL.
