Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 July 2026
Dhanik ("we", "us") provides a mutual-fund research, screening and portfolio-tracking tool. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. By using Dhanik you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account details — if you create an account, we store your name and email address (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase).
- Your data — funds you add to your watchlist and the holdings you enter (units & average price) so we can show your portfolio. This is linked to your account and synced to our database.
- Device storage — we use your browser's local storage to cache data for speed and offline use.
- Usage data — we use Google Analytics to collect basic, aggregated usage statistics (pages viewed, device type, approximate location from IP). We do not use it to identify you personally.
2. How we use it
- To run core features — login, watchlist, portfolio tracking and personalised insights.
- To keep your data in sync across devices when you are signed in.
- To maintain, secure and improve the service.
3. Advertising & cookies
We may display ads served by third-party vendors, including Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party cookies at aboutads.info.
- Where the law of your region requires it, you will be shown a consent message before advertising cookies are used, and you can withdraw or change that choice at any time.
4. Third-party services
We rely on third parties to operate Dhanik: Supabase (accounts & database), public mutual-fund data APIs (NAVs, fund details), market-index data (Yahoo Finance) and news feeds. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with the service providers above to operate the app, or where required by law.
6. Your choices & rights
- You can delete funds from your watchlist/portfolio at any time inside the app.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us — we comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023.
- You can clear your browser's local storage to remove cached data on your device.
6a. Data retention & children
We keep account data only while your account exists; when you request deletion, your account and linked watchlist/portfolio data are removed from our database. Dhanik is a general-audience research tool and is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
7. Disclaimer
Dhanik is an information and tracking tool, not investment advice. Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks; read all scheme-related documents carefully. Data may be delayed or inaccurate — always verify before investing.
