Folio Number — Mutual Fund Term Explained

A unique identifier for your investment account with a specific mutual fund house — like a bank account number but for an AMC.

A folio number is a unique account number assigned to an investor within a particular AMC. When you invest in multiple schemes of the same AMC, they are all linked under the same folio.

Folio numbers are used for all transactions, statements and tax documents.
